Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using udoon ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

udoon is a Japanese language learning platform available as a website and an Android application. It provides structured learning content for JLPT N5-N1 levels, practice questions, mock tests, AI conversation practice with voice input, daily reading, and progress tracking. Some content is available free of charge; full access requires a paid JLPT Exam Pass (or an existing subscription).

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

4. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

5. Purchases and Payment

• JLPT Exam Pass: A one-time purchase for a specific JLPT exam session. It gives full access to the Service until the end of the day after that session's exam date (Japan Standard Time). It does not renew automatically and does not include a free trial. The price is shown before you complete the purchase.
• Web Payments: Purchases on the website are processed by Stripe.
• Android App Payments: Purchases in the Android app are processed by Google Play Billing. Pricing may vary by region.
• Existing Subscriptions: Subscription plans are closed to new sign-ups. Existing subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period until you cancel through your account settings (web) or Google Play subscriptions (Android).
• Cancellation: Existing subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through your account settings (web) or Google Play subscriptions (Android), and access continues until the end of the billing period. The JLPT Exam Pass is a one-time purchase, so there is nothing to cancel.

6. Refund Policy

All payments, including the JLPT Exam Pass, are non-refundable except where required by law.

7. Prohibited Conduct

• Share your account with others
• Copy, distribute, or reproduce content from the Service
• Attempt to circumvent security measures
• Use automated tools to access the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

8. Intellectual Property

All content is owned by TORAIZ Inc. or its licensors and protected by copyright laws.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE SPECIFIC LEARNING OUTCOMES OR JLPT EXAM RESULTS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TORAIZ INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be resolved in the Tokyo District Court.

13. Auto-Renewal Disclosure

This section applies to existing subscriptions, which are closed to new sign-ups. Existing subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period and continue until you cancel through your account settings (web) or Google Play subscriptions (Android). You will be charged the then-current subscription fee for each renewal cycle. The JLPT Exam Pass does not renew.
